Under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana for residential on-grid systems:

The subsidy is credited directly to your bank account after inspection and commissioning — usually within about 30 days. We register your application on the national portal, upload documents, track approvals and follow up till the money lands. You never pay us anything for this service.

A normal on-grid system switches off during cuts — this is a safety rule that protects electricity line-men working on the pole near you. The panels are fine; the system just pauses.

If cuts are common in your area, we recommend a hybrid system: it keeps a battery charged and powers your fans, lights, TV, router and even fridge while the grid is down — with automatic changeover so fast the lights barely flicker. In our experience, most families only need 1.5–3 kWh of battery for comfortable evening backup.

Yes, at reduced output — typically 50–80% of normal on cloudy days and 20–40% during heavy monsoon rain. Modern Mono PERC and TOPCon panels are quite good at harvesting diffuse light.

The good news: Telangana and AP get 300+ sunny days a year, so yearly generation stays strong. Your net-metering "bank" of extra units from the sunny months covers the monsoon shortfall — which is exactly why we size systems on your annual usage, not any single month.

Roughly 80–100 sq.ft per kW of shadow-free roof. So a 3 kW system needs about 270–300 sq.ft — a typical portion of any independent-house terrace. South-facing space is best, but east and west also work well in our latitude.

During the free survey we do a proper shadow analysis — checking water tanks, parapet walls, stair-head rooms and nearby trees across the day. We install elevated structures (7–8 ft high), so you keep using the terrace below for drying clothes, tanks or a small garden.

Very little — and none of it is technical:

• Clean the panels with plain water every 1–2 weeks (early morning or evening, never hot midday glass). Dust is Telangana's biggest thief — a clean panel makes up to 15% more power.
• Glance at the app once a week — if today's units look much lower than usual, call us.
• One yearly check of connections, earthing and inverter health — covered in our AMC plan from ₹2,000/year.

There are no moving parts to wear out. Panels carry 25–30 year performance warranties — the "maintenance" is mostly just keeping them clean.

You get written warranty cards for every component, in your name:

• Panels: 12-year product warranty + 30-year performance warranty (they still make ~85% output in year 30)
• Inverter: 5 years (Microtek/Luminous) up to 10 years (Solis/Growatt)
• Mounting structure: 5 years against rust and structural failure
• Workmanship: 5 years from us — roof leaks from our drilling, loose wiring, anything installation-related

If anything fails, one call to us and we handle the claim with the brand — you never chase a service centre.

Typically 3–5 weeks from your first call to solar flowing through your new meter:

• Days 1–2: site visit and design
• Weeks 1–2: documents, DISCOM application, subsidy registration
• 2–3 days of work: installation, once approvals arrive
• Week 3–5: inspection, net-meter installation, go-live

The DISCOM approval timeline is the one part we can't speed up — but because we file everything correctly the first time, rejections and delays are rare. We keep you updated at every step on WhatsApp.

Yes — and for many families this makes solar cash-flow positive from month one:

• Bank loans: several banks offer collateral-free rooftop solar loans around 7% interest under the PM Surya Ghar framework — your EMI is often less than the bill you're saving.
• Stage-wise payment: we collect an advance, a payment after material delivery, and the balance only after commissioning. Never the full amount upfront.
• Subsidy offset: remember ₹30,000–78,000 comes back to your account, shrinking the real cost further.

For panels, decide by warranty and local service presence: Waaree and Emmvee are our most-installed for homes, Adani for larger and commercial roofs. For the inverter, decide by your need: Microtek for dependable simple home systems, Growatt/Solis when you want best-in-class monitoring for net metering.
